Objectives of this course
A final test will be conducted at the end of the course where the students must achieve a minimum pass rate of 70% in order to qualify for the Course Certificate. The purpose of this test is not to trick people into failing but rather to ensure that students have grasped what was taught to them and are able to put into practice what they have learnt into their workplace. Any person/s that do fail may write a second test at an agreed place and time with the trainer. Should they fail a second time they will unfortunately be required to attend the course again.
On successful completion of this course each delegate will have a better understanding of hydraulic components and systems as well as be aware of what causes failures in components and therefore be in a better position to identify possible causes of contamination to assist in prevention of future failures.
In addition, they will also be able to carry out basic fault finding with a structured approach and learn to prove component failure before randomly making adjustments or changing our perfectly good components.
Requirements to attend the course
Attendees must:
- Be involved with your plant or equipment in a capacity of maintenance, planning, supervision or Engineering. (we try to avoid people attending that have no exposure to equipment using hydraulics. For example, Accountants, receptionists or cleaners).
- Have basic understanding where hydraulics are used in your plant or equipment.
- Be interested to learn and further their own knowledge.
- Be well rested and alert during the training.
- Participate in discussions and relate the training to their equipment and experience to benefit others with actual related feedback and associations.
